SHAKOPEE SOCCER PREPARES PLAYERS FOR ADVANCEMENT TO THE HIGHEST LEVELS OF SOCCER
Shakopee Soccer Association is pleased to continue providing excellence in soccer training to younger players who are looking for focused, structured, and professional practice sessions where they will develop as players.
The focus of the Academy is on the fundamental building blocks of soccer by teaching the basics of dribbling, passing, receiving, finishing and defending. These skills are taught through a combination of individual training and small sided games.
In order to achieve a proper trainer-to-player ratio, the program will be limited to a maximum of 50 players. There are no try-outs for this program - players are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Academy players participate in a third night of soccer during the Spring Rec season. During the winter, players train once a week indoors on the turf at the Soccer Blast.
Participants will be required to sign up for the corresponding Spring Rec session, in addition to Academy training sessions. Training sessions are held on Monday nights so not to conflict with the rec. schedule. Join us, Academy training is focused and FUN!
