Mark your calendars! All Travel Team Meeting (February 13th)

Please plan on attending your Travel team's kick-off meeting. Each meeting will begin in the Theater for a general session covering a wide range of important topics (including Summer training and Volunteer hours). Followed by individual team breakouts in the caferteria where you will meet with your coach to go over logistics and expectations. See you there!

IMPORTANT - Please bring the following:

  • Child's birth certificate (only if this is your first year playing travel soccer for Shakopee)
  • Volunteer Deposit Check - $150 check made out to Shakopee Soccer Association. One check per family. (please put your child's name in the memo line)
  • A calendar to coordinate weekend tournaments. 

WHEN: Monday, February 13th

WHO:

  • 6-7 PM: U11, U12 & U13
  • 7-8 PM: U9 & U10
  • 8-9 PM: U14+

WHERE:  Jr. High School - 200 East 10th Ave.

PLAYERS STILL NEEDED FOR 2012 TRAVEL

Players Sought for: Boys: U10- 3 to 5, U11C3- 2 to 4, U12C3- 4 to 6, U13C3- 4 to 6, U19BC2- 6 to 8, Girls: U11C3- 3 to 5, U14C3- 5 to 7, U17C3- 6 to 8 

Limited Openings Remain for: Boys: U9, U14C3, U15C2, Girls: U9, U10, U15C2

No Openings: Boys: U12C2, U13C2, U16C2, U17C1,Girls:  U11C2, U12C2, U12C3, U13C2, U14C2

Players are encourage to wear jersey's from their favorite professional, club, college or their own team!

    MISSION

    The mission of Shakopee Soccer Association (SSA) is to promote the playing of recreational and competitive soccer in Shakopee and its surrounding communities for young athletes ages 4 through 19.


    SOCCER ASSOCIATION GOALS

     
    • To provide a competitive soccer program for the youth of our community, designed to help them grow as players and teams.
    • To provide education for coaches, referees, and players to improve their understanding of the game of soccer and improve both team and individual skills.
    • To provide unbiased, non-discriminatory, and fair team selection.
    • To provide fair and knowledgeable officiating for soccer games.
    • To represent the community in local and statewide soccer associations.
    • To promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect by youths towards coaches, referees and all other players, whether on their own team or an opposing team.
    • To help support Shakopee boys and girls school soccer.
    • To provide safe, well-prepared fields and equipment for use by the youth soccer teams.
